Erie Insurance sells auto, home, business and life insurance through our network of independent agents in 12 states and the District of Columbia. Neis Insurance Agency was established in 1980 in Crystal Lake, Illinois. The agency offers protection of individuals and businesses in all 50 states.

Principal agent Tom Neis has over 45 years of insurance experience and earned a bachelor’s degree in insurance from the Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. Together, he and his fully-licensed, 15-agent staff have more than 200 years of insurance experience. “When I first established the Neis Insurance Agency in Crystal Lake, Illinois, I only had one client. Through the hard work and excellent customer service of my staff and I, the agency now serves around 6,000 clients,” says Tom. He also works as a financial consultant at Wintrust Commercial Banking, Crystal Lake Bank and Illinois Wesleyan University.

The agency is located on North Virginia Street: the main road through Crystal Lake, also known as route 14.
